Short and sweet post. I love a good dumbbell, and I love being able to use Watson Gym Eco plates to be able to easily change weights, but I hate – and I mean hate – when my weight equipment makes noise. It utterly distracts me at times. And worse, I’m not a fan of when my dumbbell plates rotate (they’re not designed to, so they rotate unevenly and further distract me from the set).

Enter 50mm rubber O-rings
Get a set of these from Amazon or similar, put one on before any weights, and then add another between the weight and the collar, and tighten up. Your weights will be silent (no clanking) and the weights shouldn’t rotate as much. Changing them out may take a few seconds longer, but it’s not that great a cost when you can enjoy the silence.
Sizing? For an Olympic dumbbell, you need 60mm OD (outer diameter), 50mm ID (inner diameter), and then 5mm width.

Hope this helps.
