This is the second loop of the Centurion Hundred Hills 50k

Each year I course mark for a few ultra-marathons to cover a few of the aid stations. I have access to the full route GPX file, but as I’m not running all of it, and as I run quite far sometimes (and need to find my way back and not from memory), I have to edit the GPX file to suit.

Enter, GPX Studio. I found it online a few years and I love it. It’s light, easy to use, and does everything I need. I can upload the larger full-course GPX file, edit it quickly to what size I need, update the title and description, and then export it. It’s all done in a matter of minutes. I can then easily load into Garmin connect and sync it to my watch.

Admittedly I don’t need to use it for anything extensive, but for quickly editing GPX files to suit I’ve not found a better option. And certainly not felt the need to find an alternative since I’ve been using it.

I donate a few times a year to keep the service running and to show appreciation.

So if you need to create or edit GPX files, it’s certainly worth giving GPX Studio a try.
